JAMMU, Oct 6: J&K Sikh Employees Gurmat Vichar Manch has clarified that Government has never debarred Sikh employees from contesting DGPC elections.
Clarifying a report appeared in the columns of this newspaper today, convener of the Manch Dharminder Singh clarified that Government has neither taken such decision nor debarred the Sikh employees to participate in DGPC elections. He said that during yesterday’s press conference his words have been misunderstood. Mr Singh said that he had only criticized the attempts of some persons of the community to keep Sikh employees away from contesting DGPC polls. There is no such binding on the Government employees because DGPC is non-political entity, the convener added.
