1 killed, 9 injured in mishaps

SRINAGAR, Oct 6: One person was killed and nine others injured in different road accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said a Tipper JK13/3183 hit and critically injured a youth on his cycle in Kakapora area of district Pulwama.
He said Imran Ahmad Rather son of Reyaz Ahmad of Lelhar, Kakpora, succumbed to his injuries on way to a hospital.
Four persons were injured when a truck JK08A/7155 skidded off the road and fell in a deep gorge at Yatri Niwas on Highway in Kulgam district. All the injured have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK18/0902 hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK18/4618 near Pahloo in Kulgam district, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and a pillion. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, the spokesman said.
In a collision between a Truck bearing registration number PB06N/2235 and a Maruti car bearing registration number JK03/5057 near Nowgam Chowk in district Srinagar, two persons travelling in the Maruti car were injured.
In another accident, a Tavera car bearing registration number JK01T/7696 hit and injured a woman, Nazia Akhtar wife of Abdul Hamid Shah of Awantipora near Sempora Crossing in district Srinagar. She has been shifted to a hospital for treatment, the spokesman said, adding, cases have been registered in these mishaps.
