SRINAGAR, July 21: Minister of State for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi today inspected various ongoing developmental works in Tehsil Gurez. These included Shetalbagh Park development work and construction of In-patient Department (IPD) Block Dawar. He also laid foundation stone of Haba-Khatoon Stadium, Dawar.
The Minister directed the executing agencies to speed up the pace of work and complete the construction works of Shetalbagh Park and IPD block within a month.
Interacting with the people at different places during his tour en-route, the Minister said that the Government has taken several initiatives for the development and welfare of the people of all the three regions of the State. He said that various flagship programmes have been launched in Gurez Tehsil with the aim to improve the living standard of the people of the area. He said several micro and macro projects are under execution in the area under different sectors and on completion of these projects it will go in a long way to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people in general and weaker section in particular.
He was accompanied by senior officers of various departments included PHE, Irrigation, Flood control, Floriculture, R&B, Health and PDD.
