Gur closes steady in thin trade

NEW DELHI, Dec 3: Quiet conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices continued to move in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity and settled at previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled unchanged in thin trade.
Marketmen said gur prices largely held steady at overnight levels on scattered activity.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,100-3,200, dhayya Rs 3,400-3,500 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,600, chakku Rs 2,750-3,000, khurpa Rs 2,700-2,750 and Ladoo Rs 2,900-3,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,700-2,750 and dhayya Rs 2,850-2,900. (PTI)
