UDHAMPUR, June 5: Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta today reviewed the progress on the four-lanning project of Jammu -Srinagar National Highway at meeting with National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
Project Director National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), R.P Singh, besides Panchayat representatives and local people were present on the occasion.
The Minister asked Project Director, NHAI to construct service lanes, overhead foot bridges, passengers sheds from Tikri to Jakhani, besides install street lights for the convenience of the local people.
The Minister said the people of adjoining villages face problems in absence of such facilities. He stressed upon NHAI Director to take prompt measures so that the people of the area may not suffer anymore.
The Project Director NHAI assured the Minister that adequate measures would be taken to meet all these public demands.
