Gupta appeals people to vote for Azad

Jammu, Apr 9: Senior Congress leader and vice president of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Janak Raj Gupta today appealed masses to vote in favour of Ghulam Nabi Azad in Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing party workers in two separate meetings organized under the chairmanship of Advocate Rajinder Sharma at District Congress Office Udhampur and Chak Rakwal, Gupta reiterated that Coalition Government has ushered an era of peace, progress and development in the State and liberal funding from the Centre helped a lot in achieving the developmental targets.
Citing the example of National Rural Health Mission, Senior Congress leader maintained that with the personal efforts of Ghulam Nabi Azad, funding for Jammu and Kashmir was doubled and instead of Rs 234 crore, J&K was now getting Rs 424 crore.
Under the umbrella of Congress schemes like IAY, MGNREGA, PMGSY, Right to Food Bill, RTI Act and many more came into existence and   “Right to Health Bill” will also be passed if UPA-III comes in power, he said.
Gupta further said people from different communities must come forward on 10th and 17th of April to caste their vote in favour of coalition candidates for the development, peace and progress of the nation.
