JAMMU, May 12: JKDF organized a public meeting at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Bakshi Nagar in Ward No. 27 here today. Former Union Minister and M.L.A Jammu West Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta was specially invited to interact with the public and students on the occasion..
Prof. Gupta was accompanied by Anil Gupta Chairman JKDF and Happy Sharma a Sr. Leader of Ward No. 27. Besides large number of people and Sr. Citizens of area, the students, staff members and management of Government Girls Higher Secondary School were also present.
Speaking on the Ocassion Prof. Gupta said, that he is determinant to improve the infrastructure of educational institutions of Jammu West Constituency and in this regard he has taken many steps for development of facilities like libraries, laboratories and other infrastructure , but much more is needed to be done in order to stream line the funcitioning of the Government Educational institutions. The day will not be far when people instead of private educational institutions prefer to admit their wards in Government schools, he added.
On the occasion Principal of the School submitted various demands like renovation of rooms, repair of building and Construction of Mini Stadium Prof. Gupta on spot announced the aid of Rs. 10 lac from CDF for Construction of Mini Stadium in the School Premises. He assured the management of his full support and help for improving the educational standards.
Prof. Gupta also announced Medical aid of Rs. 2500 to a girl namely Sonika Sharma who is suffering from the chronic Kidney failure. He assured the girl that he will bring her case to the notice of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for seeking more help for her treatment and medical expenses.
