JAMMU, Aug 26: Sainik Samaj Party (SSP) here today condemned the so called Gupkar declaration by Kashmir based political parties led by Farooq Abdullah about restoration of Article 370.
In a handout Colonel S.S Pathania (retired), SSP president termed the declaration as totally misleading, manipulative and against the spirit of nation and influenced by vote bank politics.
“Abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A was a historical decision by BJP which not only corrected the misgivings and historical blunders of the last 72 years but also fully integrated J&K with rest of India, having one constitution, one flag and one law,” Pathania said.
He also said that Kashmir centric politics has optimally exploited the people of Ladakh and Jammu regions and used militancy as an industry to loot the hard earned money of tax payers by unprecedented corruption, to serve their vested interests and nefarious designs.
The SSP leader said, their (Kashmir centric leaders’) adoration, love and affection for Pakistan has kept alive the militancy, which has resulted in loss of thousands of innocent lives and fully derailed the process of development and resulted in huge loss of revenues.
“Leaders of Kashmir based parties have completely lost their connection with the people and it was amply demonstrated, when these leaders, were kept under detention and nobody protested,” he claimed.
“Denial of citizenship to West Pak refugees, Balmiki Samaj and Gorkhas is a classic example of explanation of exploitation, appeasement and vote bank politics,” Col. Pathania said urging the government to take cognizance of so called Gupkar declaration and constitute appropriate measures to ensure, that anti-national, evil and nefarious designs of Kashmir based political parties does not succeed.
