Gul inspects progress on new Legislature Complex

JAMMU, June 4: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul today inspected pace of progress on the new Legislature Complex at Jammu being executed by Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC) at the  cost of Rs 191.66 crore.
Deputy General Manager (DGM) JKPCC (Civil), R K Makro, GM Electrical, Sunil Gupta, DG Mechanical, Sanjeev Sharma, AEE Civil, Parveen Gupta besides other concerned officers accompanied the Speaker.
While inspecting the construction work, Gul asked the executing agency to redouble their efforts so as to complete the project within fixed time frame besides ensuring quality work by using standard material.
The Speaker was informed by JKPCC authorities that the work on the project is at apace and is likely to be completed by April 2016. He was apprised that mechanical, electrical and other related works including structure would be erected by March 2015.
It was informed that Rs 29.03 crore have been expended on the construction of the complex out of Rs 39.94 crore released so far.
The new Legislative Complex is being constructed over an area of 238556 square feet which would have all modern facilities and parking slot.
