JAMMU, Feb 8. Gujjar Bakerwal Student Federation today organized a function to honour the MLA’s of the Gujjar community at Cultural Centre Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust, here. National Conference MLA from Mendhar Choudhary Javed Ahmed Rana, PDP MLA from Darhal, Ch. Zulifkar Ali, BJP MLA from Kalakote Ch. Abdul Ghani Kohli and PDP MLA from Rajouri Ch.Qamar Hussain graced the occasion.
Former ADGP and former VC-BGSB University Rajouri and founder of the Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust Dr. Masaud Choudhary presided over the function. A large number of students and members of civil society were present in the felicitation functions.
Speaking on the occasion, various issues pertaining to the community in general and students in particular were raised.  Gujjar Student Federation presented a memorandum to the newly elected legislature regarding inclusion of Gojri Language, in the 8th Scheduled of the Constitution of India, establishing of Gaujri Arabic and Islamic Studies Department in Jammu University, Inter – District recruitments for Scheduled Tribes, Representation of the Gujjar Tribes, Representation of the Gujjar Community in PSC and SSRB and political reservation besides others.
In this presidential address Dr. Masaud Choudhary stressed the newly elected legislature to work for the betterment of Gujjars in general and the Gojri language in particular.
Choudhary  Naseeb Ali Welcomed gathering. Among others Choudhary Ali Hasan Hakla, Chandar Mohan Parkash, Arif Sajad and Shahnawaz Choudhary were also present.
