Guar gum futures decline on weak export demand

NEW DELHI, July 4: Guar gum prices drifted lower by Rs 56 to Rs 8,184 per quintal in futures today on persistent offloading by the investors depressed by weak physical markets amid weak export demand.
Market players said the continuous slide in guar gum futures was due to lower physical markets sentiment amid sluggish export demand for oil drilling industries.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, guar gum delivery for July moved down by Rs 56 or 0.68 per cent to Rs 8,184 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 24,460 lots.
Also, the delivery for August slipped by Rs 49 or 0.57 per cent to Rs 8,510 per quintal, having an open interest of 39,335 lots. (PTI)
