GRP Katra hands over bag containing jewellery, cash to owner

KATRA, May 24: GRP Katra handed over the owner a bag containing gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh, cash of Rs 10000/, important documents and other valuable items, which she had lost while travelling in Hemkund Express train.
The unattended bag was recovered by GRP Katra during routine checking of trains at the platform. Displaying professional approach, the GRP Katra identified owner of the bag, namely Pooja Devi wife of Vinod Kumar (L/Naik, 13-Dogra Regiment, Roorki) who stated that she forgot her bag while de-boarding the train at Jammu Tawi.
SHO GRP Katra after verification and completing all the legal formalities, handed over the bag to the owner under the supervision of SDPO Railways Katra and SSP Railways Katra.
