Groundnut oil edges up on scattered demand

NEW DELHI, July 14: In restricted activity, groundnut
Oil prices edged higher by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on mild demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled at previous levels.
Traders said some demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing belts, mainly supported the rise in groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil inched up by Rs 50 to Rs 8,400 per quintal.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900, Vanaspati  Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 800-1,000.
Edible oils: Groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,400, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin)   Rs 1,730-1,830, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,900, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,285-1,330,  Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,335-1,435, Sesame  Mill  delivery Rs 10,000, Soybean Refined mill delivery  (Indore) Rs 7,650, Soybean  Degum  (Kandla) Rs 7,250, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla)  Rs 5,500, Cottonseed Mill  delivery  (Haryana) Rs 7,500, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,900, Palmolein (Kandla)  Rs 6,950 and Coconut (per tin)  Rs 3,100-3,150.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,200, Castor Rs 7,400-7,500, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450. (PTI)
