Grievances of JK students

Sir,
This has reference to the news item ‘J&K students’ grievances being studied’ DE Sept 13.
There is urgent need to redress this issue at the earliest, as it concern the career of students who mostly belong to lower income groups.
Every year students have to leave their studies half way as the colleges where they have sought admission fail to get the fees dues from the concerned department, on behalf of the students.  The students then have nowhere to go. With the result, they are sacked, and asked to go home. The problem has been highlighter time and again but nobody has bothered to redress it as it was not deemed a priority. This problem creates depression and dejection not only among students but also among their parents.
The HRD Ministry, it seems, has studied the problem well, and one expects that remedial measures will be taken accordingly.
The Ministry should also ensure that the students do not face any hurdle right from admission process upto the time, they pass out from these institutes. After all it a matter of career, where there is no room for compromise.
Yours etc….
