Grameen Bank organizes Financial Literacy Programmes

JAMMU, Mar 7: Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department of J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural in collaboration with NABARD organized four Financial Literacy & Awareness Programmes in districts Jammu and Baramulla.
Sahil Sharma, JKGB Branch Head Narwal was the chief guest in one of these programmes and he talked in brief about various social security schemes like APY, PMSBY, PMJJBY etc and the positive change these have brought in our day to day lives.
He stressed upon availing these schemes by those who have yet not enrolled under these schemes.
Mukesh Kumar, Branch Head Bahu Fort gave a brief description of bouquet of products offered by the Bank which also include all types of insurance in addition to routinely offered deposits and advances.
He also spread awareness about new technologies available in the Bank such as multiple uses of bank cheques, use of POS machine, RuPay debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS and Aadhaar based transactions etc.
Representatives of Line Departments like KVIB, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Education and NRLM also attended the programme besides the huge gathering of students and clientele of the Bank.
Other Branch Heads at their respective locations also spread the message of financial literacy and awareness among the population of remote villages.
