JAMMU, Aug 14: With a view to provide impetus  to the initiative  of Govt of India to bring every household within banking fold J&K Grameen Bank opened  branch at Brijnagar  today thus bringing the total number of branches to 208.
Prominent citizens of the locality were present on the occasion of opening ceremony of the branch.
While speaking on the occasion Vagish Chander Sharma, Chairman of the bank  impressed upon the gathering to avail all types of banking facilities from this newly opened fully computerized branch. He apprised the gathering that J&K Grameen Bank is spread across 13 districts of State and is fully committed to the socio economic development of its masses.
General Manager Gurcharan Singh called upon the audience to come forward for availing various banking facilities being extended at their doorstep. Area Manager Jammu also spoke on the occasion and made people aware about bank deposit/ credit schemes. Sourav  Sharma, Branch Head extended the vote of thanks to the gathering.
