JAMMU, June 11: Chairman J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB), Janak Raj Angural has been conferred with a national level award for outstanding contributions towards Self Help Group (SHG) Bank Linkage 2018-19 under National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) during a seminar at New Delhi.
Sanjeev Kumar, Additional Secretary Ministry of Rural Development (MRD); Leena Johri, Jt. Secretary NRLM MRD; Anita Baghel, Director MRD; Mithilesh Kumar, GM NABARD were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Leena Johri appreciated the efforts of JKGB for spreading credit facilities through SHG-Bank Linkage programme to the needy sectors of the State.
GM, NABARD Mithilesh Kumar and others also appreciated the Bank’s performance.
Janak Raj Angural thanked for the honour conferred by MRD and assured that JKGB will continue on to play a major role towards development of the State and its populace in each aspect.
Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager, JKGB said the Bank has linked 3613 SHGs as saving and 3278 SHGs as credit with Rs.33 lakh outstanding under NRLM so far.
