JAMMU, Feb 19: After abolishing State Civil Services cadre and scrapping age relaxation for J&K candidates, the J&K UT Administration has slashed the monthly remuneration (fixed salary) of contractual lecturer from Rs 28,000 to Rs 18,000.
In a press statement issued today, former Congress MLA from Ramban, Ashok Kumar said that it is great injustice to the highly qualified, NET/ PhD/ Research Scholars. He said instead of giving hike to the salary, the people at the helm of affairs in the J&K UT and Delhi Govt have reduced the monthly remuneration of the contractual Lecturers in J&K who have been placed at most remote and far flung areas, away from their homes. The Govt must reconsider its decision the former MLA said.
