Govt should not transfer registration powers to Rev Deptt: JWAM

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Nov 2: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has demanded that the Government should not transfer registration powers of lands, properties, will and other documents to Revenue Department and flayed the appointment of Registrar and Sub-Registrar for registration purposes.
In a press conference here today JWAM leader Sunil Dimple has extended support to the Bar Association of Jammu for opposing the shift of High Court from Janipur to Raika-Bahu and shifting of registration powers of documents of land to Revenue Department.
He also said that November 1, 2019 is the black day in the history of Jammu & Kashmir as on this day the J&K State was ‘downgraded to a Union Territory’.
He called J&K BJP leaders as paper tigers shedding crocodile tears and only writing hollow letters on shifting of courts, registration of documents, toll plaza rather than standing with the agitating people of Jammu.
JWAM leader further said that BJP is misleading the nation about Article 370.
Satpal Kohli, Chaman Pawar, Vijay Khajuria, Baldev Raj Sharma, S. Randhier Singh Bali, Amit Raina and Kala Kumar were also present in the press conference.
