Govt should accept report of Lavasa Committee: NMC

JAMMU, May 31: Expressing concern over delay in accepting recommendations of Ashok Lavasa Committee report by the Central Government till date, President National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subash Shastri urged upon the Prime Minister to immediately accept the report on up-gradation of minimum pay scale and pension to Rs. 21,000.
Shastri while addressing NMC workers meet here appealed to the Central Government to sympathetically consider and grant funds to Jammu and Kashmir Government to bear the expenses arising out of regularization of several thousands of daily rated workers working in the various departments of the State Government.
The NMC leader also said that the State Government should earmark separate wage heads for regular disbursement of monthly wages of daily rated workers till their regularization besides removal of all pay anomalies of clerical staff and enhancing medical allowance to Rs. 3000 per month etc.
Among those who were present in the meeting were Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Shiv Ram Sharma, Romesh Sharma, Joginder Kumar, Ram Singh, Darshan Bawa, Pawan Kumar, Sardhri Lal and Sudesh Bhagat.
