JAMMU, Apr 6: For implementation of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme, the State Government has set up a State Mission Steering Group (SMSG) headed by the Chief Minister as its Chairman.
The SMSG will be the apex body for providing direction, policy and guidance for implementation of ICDS in the State. It would perform the tasks like appraisal of the proposals and schemes and approve them on the broad normative approved framework, consideration and approval of Annual State Action Plan for ICDS Mission, appraisal and review of implementation of Annual Action Plan and achievements etc.
Members of the SMSG include Administrative Secretaries of Planning and Development Department, Finance, Agriculture, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, RDD, Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, School Education and CAPD besides representative of National ICDS Mission Directorate.
