SRINAGAR, July 16: The Advisor to Chief Minister, Prof Amitabh Mattoo today visited SKIMS Medical College and Hospital, Bemina to take stock of the healthcare facilities being provided to the injured.
The Advisor was accompanied by Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, Principal SKIMS Medical College and Hospital, Bemina, Dr Reyaz Untoo and other officials of the hospital.
The Advisor conducted an extensive tour of the wards of the hospital to get first hand information of the medicare facilities being provided to the patients admitted there. He advised the Principal to ensure that patients do not face any inconvenience for want of medicines, treatment and other related things.
Prof Mattoo also interacted with patients of different wards and reiterated the Chief Minister’s commitment to ensure that requisite facilities are extended to them without any delay.
He said that Chief Minister has already directed for putting in place a mechanism in order to ensure that healthcare sector comes up to expectation of people especially in these difficult times.
Later, Prof. Mattoo visited some parts of Srinagar city and interacted with the people in different localities. He assured that the Government has already directed the concerned departments to ensure that people get all required essential items and medicines without facing any hardship.
He assured people that the Government is always ready for a dialogue with all those who can build sustainable peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
