Govt playing in hands of mining mafia, alleges Tony

JAMMU, Apr 15: Taranjit Singh Tony, General Secretary of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee and DDC Member Suchetgarh, launched a scathing attack on the J&K Government, accusing it of being in cahoots with the mining and contractor mafias, to the detriment of the common man.
In a statement issued today, Tony lambasted the Government’s alleged complicity in allowing the nefarious activities of the mining mafia to flourish unchecked, leaving the populace to suffer in silence.
He highlighted the exploitation of Jammu region residents by the mining mafia, who brazenly withhold slips from contractors, effectively holding them hostage.
Tony painted a grim picture of a Government allegedly neglecting its duty to protect citizens, opting instead to cozy up to criminal elements for personal gain.
He condemned the blatant claim of the mining mafia of having the department under its control, exposing the corruption rampant in J&K’s corridors of power.
The Congress leader called for immediate action to eradicate this corruption, which has plagued Jammu & Kashmir society.
He criticized law enforcement agencies for their complicity in the face of rampant exploitation, urging authorities to intervene swiftly.
Tony vowed to leave no stone unturned in providing relief to his constituency, underscoring the dire need for change in governance.
He emphasized the INDI Alliance as the sole solution to address the plight of the people, highlighting its understanding of ground realities and relentless efforts to alleviate the suffering of the populace.
