JAMMU, Apr 11: Minister for Health, Medical Education, ARI and Trainings Choudhary Lal Singh emphasized on all the para medicos to work with more dedication and zeal to serve the humanity.
He said this while addressing gathering after inaugurating one day conference, organized by Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacists Association here today.
MLA East Rajesh Gupta, Director Health Services, Dr Baljeet Pathania, Director Family Welfare Dr Baldev Raj Sharma, Dr Mohan Singh, Project Director AIDS, besides large number of pharmacists from all over the State were present on the occasion.
During the conference, the main thrust was laid on DPC meeting of Pharmacists category which was not held for the last 5 years.
The speakers from the Association demanded upgradation/creation of posts of block pharmacy officer and district pharmacy officer, running grade to pharmacists after completion of 5 years service on the analogy of Assistant Surgeons and grant of RMP to all trained pharmacist after retirement.
While speaking, Minister disclosed that necessary orders for the conduct of DPC meeting in favour of pharmacists have already been issued and the meeting is likely to be held between April 25 to May 5. Referring to other demands, Minister assured redressal.
On the occasion, State, Provincial and District Committees of Jammu were elected on the occasion.
