Govt not sincere in rehabilitation of migrants: RSP

JAMMU, Oct 23: A meeting of the Migrant Minority Cell of Rashtirya Samajwadi Party (RSP) held here under the chairmanship of Sanjay Dhar,State RSP(s)vice president expressed serious concern over the plight of migrants from Valley.
The meeting which was also addressed by K L Raina, president Migrants Minority Cell and Rohit Koul, State RSP(s) spokesperson alleged that rehabilitation’ of displaced Pandits still eludes after over two decades. They accused the State Government of adopting  a ‘Nelson’s Eye’ attitude towards the plights of exiled Kashmiri Pandits who have been languishing in migrant camps in Jammu and other parts of country since 1990.
The meeting expressed serious concern over the failure of State Government in implementing the much talked about PM’s employment package for Kashmiri migrant youth announced by former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in 2008.
It showed concern over denial of ration to migrants for last three months now and also non payment of salaries to the package and non package employees posted in Valley.
