Govt keen to promote industrial sector: Kichloo

KATHUA, July 10: Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today said that the Government was keen to promote industrial sector in the State which suffered huge set back during last two decades of turmoil.
Speaking at the inaugural function of newly established Rubber recycling unit here today, the Minister said that several steps have been taken by the State Government to help the revival of closed and promotion of new industrial units in the State. He said the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah was taking personnel interest in promotion of Industrial sector in the State considering its employment generation potential. He said for the purpose the State Government was providing easy clearance of formalities to facilitate the entrepreneurs.
Listing the measures taken by the Government, the Minister said that it was after    concerted efforts by the State Government that the centre has extended the special incentives to encourage investment in the State. He asked the major industrial houses of the country to invest in J&K and contribute in its development.
The newly established Unit M/s Kohinoor Reclametious and Eastman Reclametious   deals in recycling of old tyres of vehicles.
Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Charanjeet Singh Jasrotia,  Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce, Shantmanu, Director G A Qureshi, MD SIDCO, MD, SICOP  and other senior  officers of the department were present.
