Manohar convenes public grievances redressal camp

KATHUA, July 10: Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperatives, Finance and Planning, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma convened a public grievance redressal camp at PWD Rest House   Billawar today.
ADC Kathua Rohit Khajuria, SDM Billawar Vikas Gupta, SDPO Basohli Rafiq Manhas, Superintendent Engineer PDD, XEns of PHE, PWD and tehsil level officers were present in the grievance camp.
People from different parts of the tehsil met the Minister and apprised him of their problems and demands. Panchs and Sarpanchs also projected the problems of the people of their respective panchayats.
Dr Manohar Lal Sharma gave patient hearing to the demands and problems highlighted during the camp and assured that all the genuine demands will be addressed on priority within stipulated time frame.
The Minister while addressing the people said Government is committed to redress the   difficulties of the people residing in far off hilly areas. He added that providing road connectivity, electricity and clean drinking water are among the priority of the Government besides health and education are the sectors where Government is extensively strengthening the infrastructure at gross root level. He said Central Government with its liberal funding has initiated several schemes and flagship programmes like PMGSY, NRHM, RGGVY, RMSA to apace the development in the state. He said Coalition Government is making efforts to involve citizens  to be a part of the  development initiatives  under the aegis of panchayats and municipalities. He said with the coming up of functional Panchayats in the State the pace of development has gradually gained momentum in the short span of time.
Deputations from Bathri, Parnala, Dadwara, Dungada, Kishanpur, Gurha Kalyal put forth their issues before the minister. Dr Sharma passed directions to the concerned officers of the different departments to address their grievances in timebound manner. He exhorted upon the officers to ensure timely measures to deal with any eventualities in the rainy season. He called upon the CAPD, PDD, PHE officers to keep vigil and make provisions to stock material to ensure timely restoration of services in rainy season.
