Govt keen to meet developmental aspiration of people: Bhalla

JAMMU, Mar 4: Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Raman Bhalla today said that the Government has formulated   comprehensive plans under PHE, PDD, R&B, Education, ERA and Health sectors to meet the developmental aspirations of the people of the State.
The Minister said this while interacting with the people of Shastri Nagar near Nirankari Bhawan during his visit to the area.
Mr. Bhalla assured the people that all their genuine demands and development needs would be fulfilled in a phased manner, adding that there was no constraint of funds in providing adequate basic amenities to the people of all the three regions of the State.
The Minister said that Government has taken various exemplary measures to improve the living standard of the people across the State, adding that for this purpose Central Government has provided liberal funding under various developmental sectors for developing every corner with improved basic amenities. He said provision for adequate drinking, water facilities, improved power, medicare facilities, quality education and infrastructural facilities to the students besides better lanes and drains are being paid first attention.
Responding to the demand of locals, Mr. Bhalla asked the executing agencies to immediately start the upgradation work of deep drain near   Green Belt Park  and Nirankari Bhawan in Shastri Nagar.
Regarding improvement of power scenario in Shastri Nagar and its adjoining areas, the Minister said a receiving station involving cost of Rs. 3.5 crore is under progress and is expected to completed by April this year.
