SRINAGAR, June 25: Government today said it will provide ration to the general public as per 2011 census.
In a written reply to a question of MLA G M Saroori in Lower House, Minister incharge CAPD Department stated that the Government has decided to issue ration to the general public on the basis of 2011 population which was implemented with effect from September 2015 and continued till January 2016 when the Government decided to implement NFSA in whole of the State.
“NFSA has been implemented in State from February 2016 and the list of beneficiaries( PHH and NPHH) were prepared by the concerned Deputy Commissioners and in order to ensure that the list is error free fidelity checks are on under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner concerned to maintain 100% accuracy/ transparency,” said the Minister.
