JAMMU, May 21: The Government today increased Dearness Allowance (DA) in favour of its employees by four percent with effect from January 1, 2024.
With this, the DA has gone up from 46 per cent to 50 percent of basic pay.

The arrears on account of additional installment of DA with effect from January, 2024 to April 2024 shall be paid in cash in May and shall form part of monthly salary from May onwards, an order issued by Santosh D Vaidya, Principal Secretary Finance Department read.
