Govt has failed to solve problems of displaced Pandits: KPC

NEW DELHI June 6: Accusing the Union Government of its total failure in redressing the problems of displaced Pandits who are the worst victims of the 23 year long turmoil in Kashmir Valley, Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) said this has led to the total alienation of the community.
Addressing the meetings at Nazjafgarh and Gurgoan along with his other party leaders, Kundan Kashmiri National president KPC stated that leaders running the polity of State and Centre have totally failed to identify themselves with the problems of KP Community.
Lamenting the biased attitude of State and Central Government towards burning day to day problems of displaced exiled KPs, Kashmiri stated that denial of basic amenities like water and electricity to them in Jagti township and at other places is complete human right violation. He said pathetic situation of internally displaced people particularly of small children, ailing and old persons living in the Jagti township without water and electricity is painful which needs an attention of human right organizations.
While strongly supporting the demand of enhancement of relief ,he said relief holders are worst victims of militancy who are unheard and unattended for last two months of their strike cum dharna at Jammu for enhancement of relief to feed their children and treat their ailing parents and elders.
He also made it clear that no compromise will be made by the community on its self esteem and the return formula which does not take the geo-political aspirations of the community into consideration will be rejected.
