Durga Nagar residents delegation calls on Minister PHE

JAMMU, June 6: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee Sector 1, Sector 3 and adjoining areas called on Minister of PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Taj Mohi-ud-_Din and apprised him of the water scarcity problem in entire Durga Nagar and Roop Nagar.
The delegation informed the Minister that for last three months these localities were facing the acute water scarcity. It demanded that water supply to Muthi Sump be continued for five hours, 630 kv transformer be installed at Muthi to make OHT functional, five hours water supply be provided to Muthi and five hours to OHT Durga Nagar and a stand by motor be kept at Durga Nagar tube well, regular power supply to MU 8 Line and four small tankers be provided to PHE Mechanical Department City Division Jammu to overcome the crisis during the mechanical and electrical fault.
The delegation further demanded renovation of Old Sump at an earliest.
The Minister asked the Chief Engineer PHE who was also present in the meeting to look into these problems and do the needful action.
The delegation comprises of Roshan Lal Raina, M L Pandita, Srikant Ganjoo, Behari Lal, and Mohan Lal.
