JAMMU, Sept 5: For implementation of Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir, the UT Government today constituted District, Sub-Divisional and Tehsil Level Committees.
The District Level Committee, headed by the concerned Deputy Commissioner shall be comprising District SSP, CMO and all other District officers as Members while the Sub-Divisional Level Committees are headed by the concerned SDM and comprise local SDPO, all Sub-Divisional level officers as the Members.
Similarly, the Tehsil level committees are headed by the concerned Tehsildar and comprise all Tehsil/Block level officers, SHO/Station In-charge as the Members.
The Tehsil level committees shall undertake survey of poppy and cannabis cultivation and ensure its destruction, with active participation of Numberdars and Chowkidars.
