Singh said that a list of around a dozen BJP leaders and workers allegedly occupying prime lands and raising illegal constructions had failed to invite the attention of authorities concerned. “Huge constructions are being raised by a tea vendor of Ramnagar and a BJP worker who claims to be enjoying the support of his political masters and corrupt officers,” revealed Singh.
He further said that the poor, landless and other underprivileged sections of the society besides opposition workers in the J&K were being evicted from their marginal land holdings in the name of anti-encroachment drive. “The Government is not only allowing illegal constructions to the BJP leaders but also facilitating them in encroachment of state, forest and local bodies’ land,” he alleged.
He questioned the continued stay of BJP leaders in Estates bungalows despite their eviction orders have been issued by the High Court. “The BJP workers having no official authority to hold palatial Government mansions including ministerial bungalows in view of double stranded of the present regime,” Singh said.
He pointed out that BJP leaders were allowed to hold public meetings and to organize huge gatherings of people to propagate their political agenda by defying the lockdown guidelines while the opposition leaders were however being restrained and harassed even for talking individually to media persons.
