Govt flayed for ignoring unemployed Jammu youth

JAMMU, Apr 20: Senior leader of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mohd Farooq Inqlabi strongly criticized the State Government for ignoring unemployed youth of Jammu region in general and the youth of Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi districts in particular in direct recruitment in J&K Police Department for the last two years.
While addressing a press conference here today, he said that 2916 youths have been recruited in J&K Police Department by the State Government on the basis of on spot recruitment drive but the youth of Jammu region have been ignored totally by giving only 541 posts to the region, which speaks of injustice and discrimination.
He further said that the State Government in last four years has several times announced provision of more than 2 lakh jobs under PM’s Employment Package but the same is confined to files only.
He also alleged a large scale bungling in MGNREGA, IAY and PMGSY Schemes and said that all the hilly areas are ignored by the Government and the developmental works are progressing at snails pace because the Ministers have allotted the same to their relatives and blue eyed persons.
Youth PDP leader Vikram Singh also addressed the media persons and appealed the youth to strengthen their party for prosperity of the State.
