JAMMU, May 15: Present Coalition Government has failed to deal with Kashmir situation and its dictatorial approach has only escalated the violence.
This was stated by Charanjeet Chargotra, State vice president, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). In his statement, Chargotra said that use of force without paying heed to the political aspect of the issue will have long term ill results. He said that coalition lacks political maturity and is simply trying to remain in power.
“Use of force is no more a way out and by thinking of unilateral ceasefire Government itself is accepting that its Kashmir policy is defective”, Chargotra said. If coalition wants to end militancy with guns then what is the need of ceasefire, he further questioned.
Chargotra said that PDP has befooled people of Kashmir on the name of ‘Self Rule’ and BJP in Jammu region befooled the public on religion. He said that present coalition has not performed to the expectations of people of J&K and it has no moral right to remain in power.
