Govt Deptts celebrate Republic Day with enthusiasm

JAMMU, Jan 27: The 67th Republic Day was celebrated by Government departments and organizations with gaiety and enthusiasm all over the State.
The Principal Resident Commissioner, State Govern-ment, Lokesh Jha unfurled the National Flag during the Republic Day function at JK House 5-Prithvi Raj road New Delhi yesterday.
On the occasion a contingent of J&K Armed Police presented the Guard of Honour and the ceremonial function was attended by all the officers and officials of the State posted at New Delhi.
Mr Jha congratulated the participants on this auspicious occasion and appealed them to maintain the unity and integrity in diversity of out country.
The Republic Day was also celebrated by Aaykar Parivar at Income Tax Office Udhampur where the National Flag was unfurled by Income Tax Officer, Madan Lal Dogra. The welcome address was given by Kuldeep Sharma advocate, which was followed by singing of National Anthem by the audience.
In connection with celebration of Republic Day, Director Agriculture Dr S S Jamwal, hoisted the National Flag at Krishi Bhawan lawns, Talab Tillo here. The programme was organized by All J&K Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum (AJKAOWF), Non Gazetted Agriculture Graduates Association (NGA-GA), J&K, Agriculture Techn-ocrats Association, (JKATA), All J&K Agriculture Employees Association and Agriculture Drivers Union.
Mr Jamwal threw light on the significance of this national festival and said that there is a need to work with sincerity and dedication.
The 67th Republic Day was also celebrated by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Jammu. In this connection a function was held at Town hall Complex here in which the Commissioner JMC, Ms Mandeep Kaur hoisted the National Flag. On the occasion she presented mementos along with certificates to the officers and officials of different wings of JMC for their meritorious services rendered during the year 2016 Republic Day. Besides, a special award was given to Rakesh Gupta for rendering meritorious services as Special Assistant to Commissioner JMC.
A glittering function was organized by NHPC at its Regional Office here at Narwal in connection with celebrating of 67th Republic Day in which employees of the NHPC and CISF officials participated. The National Flag was unfurled by S Kalgaonkar Executive Director NHPC.
The 67th Republic Day was also celebrated by Salal Power Station employees with zeal and enthusiasm yesterday at Ramlila Ground Jyotipuram. In the function besides employees of the project, CISF personnel, their family members, school children and locals participated in large numbers. A G Ansari, General Manager, Salal Power Station was the chief guest who hoisted the National Flag.
Republic Day was also celebrated at Dul Hasti Power Station and Burser Hydel Project with enthusiasm and charm yesterday at administrative block premises Kishtwar in which a large number of employees, CISF personnel and children of K V participated. P K Langer, General Manager, Dul Hasti Power Station was the chief guest who unfurled the National Flag on the occasion.
National Flag was also hoisted by the Superintendent Jail, Lazar Kandayaray at Sub jail Hiranagar on the occasion of 67th Republic Day yesterday. The function among others was attended by jail and CRPF officers and officials. A cultural programme was also organized on the occasion.
The Powergrid Northern Region Transmission System -II celebrated 67th Republic Day at Grid Bhawan, near Bahu Plaza here with gaiety and enthusiasm. Anil Jain Executive Director, NRTS -II, who was the chief guest on the occasion unfurled the National Flag.
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Jammu celebrated the Republic Day at its new premises with enthusiasm and fervor. Shankar A Pande, Chief General Manager unfurled the National Flag on the occasion and addressed the gathering.
The 67th Republic Day was celebrated with gaiety and fervour at Ganderbal in Central Kashmir district. During the function DC Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat was the chief guest who hoisted the Tri Colour in presence of a large gathering including officers and officials of various departments, prominent citizens and leaders of various social organizations. The PRP president Mir Ghulam Rasool who also attended the function later addressing a gathering of prominent citizens said that we should work for realization of the goals of the freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukh Dev. He said real freedom is achieved after we achieve victory over poverty, hunger, diseases, corruption, crime etc.
The 67th Republic Day was celebrated at District Jail Jammu where the Director General of Police, Prisons S K Misra was the chief guest who hoisted the National Flag.
The 67th Republic Day was also celebrated by Police Technical Training Institute Vijaypur at a function yesterday with great enthusiasm and fervour. Ranjit Kumar SSP (Principal) PTTI Vijaypur presided over the function and hoisted the National Flag.
In connection with celebration of 67th Republic Day a grand function was also organized by Police Transport Workshop Jammu in which the National Flag was unfurled by Ranjit Singh Sambyal Senior Superintendent of Police, PTW, Jammu. This was followed by the singing of National Anthem.
The 67th Republic Day was also celebrated by Kasturba Gandhi Memorial National Trust Mishriwala in which A K Dixit Senior Manager Gandhi Sewa Sadan was the chief guest. P L Joshi, its member also participated in the function. Mr Dixit hoisted the National Flag on the occasion and threw light on the significance of the Republic Day for the people of the country.
