JAMMU, Aug 16: Celebrating 75th Independence Day with much fervor and gaiety, various Government departments, judicial bodies and semi-Government organizations hoisted national flag in their respective premises across Jammu and Kashmir.
Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Pankaj Mithal hoisted national flag at High Court premises in Srinagar. On the occasion, Justice Mithal also inspected the contingents, who presented him guard of honor and took salute at the March past.
Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey; Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur; Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul; Justice Sanjay Dhar; Registrar General Jawad Ahmad; Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole, Advocate General DC Raina; ASGI, Tahir Majid; Maj General 31 Sub Area, Viswasrao Patil were also present on the occasion. Registrar Vigilance, Member Secretary SLSA, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice, Registrar Judicial, CPC eCourts, Joint Registrar Judicial, Joint Registrar Inspection, Senior Advocates, Advocates, Additional Advocate Generals, Deputy Advocate Generals and staff of High Court also attended the function.
In Jammu Wing of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Tashi Rabstan hoisted the National Flag and took salute. Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Justice Puneet Gupta and Justice Javed Iqbal Wani besides officers and officials of registry also participated in the celebration. Judicial officers of the District Court Jammu, Govt. advocates, Senior Advocates and other members of the Bar Association Jammu were also present on the occasion.
The Independence Day functions were also held at all District Hdqrs where Principal District and Session Judges hoisted National flags.
In Udhampur, Principal District & Session judge Y P Bourney unfurled the Tri-colour in the presence of Additional session Judge S C Katal , Sub judge CJM B A Munshi , Sub judge , Secretary DLSA Rajni Sharma, District Mobile Magistrate Shafeeq Ahmed , Bar president J D Slathia, Bar Members, prosecution wing and ministerial staff.
In Reasi Court, the event commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by R N Watal, Principal District & Sessions Judge Reasi (also Chairman District Legal Services Authority Reasi) which was followed by reciting of the National Anthem by the gathering present on the occasion. The program was also attended by Sub-Judge Katra, CJM , Reasi , Secretary District Legal Services Authority , Munsiff Katra , Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Reasi , Public Prosecutor of Sessions Court Reasi, President Bar Association Reasi and others.
In District Court Doda, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary hoisted the National Flag and took ceremonial salute by the contingent of District Police. Sheikh Babar Hussain, District Mobile Magistrate conducted the proceedings of the event and vote of thanks was presented by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Prem Sagar. The function was attended by Additional Spl Mobile Magistrate, Neena Thakur, members from the Bar and others.
In District Baramulla, a function was organised by the Judiciary at District Court Complex where Principal District and Sessions Judge Baramulla Mohammad Yousuf Wani unfurled the Tricolour and took salute. Judicial officers, lawyers and advocates, functionaries of district court among other concerned functionaries participated in the event.
In District Court Complex Kathua, Principal District & Sessions Judge Kathua Jaffer Hussain Beigh hoisted the National Flag. Other prominent, who were present on the occasion, includes Addl District & Sessions Judge Kamlesh Pandita, Special Mobile Magistrate Anjana Rajput, Secretary DLSA Pooja Raina, District Mobile Magistrate Brij Raj Singh, President District Bar Association Kathua Adv Ajat Shatru Sharma etc and other Advocates, Officers of Prosecution wing, staff members, PLVs etc.
Ramesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board hoisted the tricolour with traditional fervour and patriotism at Katra, the base town for pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji. The students of various educational institutions presented a colourful cultural programme on this occasion Among those present on the occasion, included Vimal Indu, President, Municipal Committee, Katra; Vivek Verma, Additional CEO of the Shrine Board; Amit Bhasin, Addl. SP, Katra; Hem Kant Prasher, Chief Accounts Officer; Yad Ram Bunker, Commandant, 6th Bn. CRPF; Dr Sunil Sharma and others.
The national flag was hoisted by Naresh Kumar, SDM at Bhawan in the presence of CRPF, Police and Shrine Board officers and staff.
J&K Bank CMD, R K Chhibber hoisted the national flag at the Bank’s Corporate Headquarters with National Anthem sung on the occasion with full fervour. Executive Presidents Arun Gandotra and Sunil Gupta, Presidents, Vice Presidents, Departmental Heads and other officers of the Bank were present during the national event celebration. Similar Flag-raising ceremonies were also held at the Bank’s Zonal Office.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor and Adv Purnima Sharma, Dy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation, hoisted the National Flag in presence of Avny Lavasa, Commissioner, JMC at Jammu Municipal Corporation, Town Hall Complex, Jammu on the occasion of 75th Independence Day. Chairman Swacch Bharat Mission Standing Committee Yash Paul Sharma, Chairman Social Justice Standing Committee Kuldeep Singh, Pankaj Gupta, Joint Commissioner (A), . Hitesh Gupta, Incharge Enforcement, Sudhir Bali, Asstt. Commissioner (Rev), Dr Sanjogita Soodan, Health Officer and others were present on the occasion.
At Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Mayor Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu hoisted the flag in presence of Deputy Mayor, Parvaiz Qadri, Commissioner SMC, Athar Aamir and other senior officers. Many cultural programs, musical events were presented on the occasion.
The Vice Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Khadi & Village Industries Board (J&K KVIB), Hina Shafi Bhat hoisted the National Flag at a function held in the lawns of Sanat Ghar, Bemina, Srinagar. On the occasion, the VC distributed cash rewards to Veer Naries and loan sanction letters to 30 Ex-Servicemen and War widows. The officers from Industries Department, JK KVIB, entrepreneurs and people from different walks of life attended the function.
On Independence Day, Additional Resident Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir, Neeraj Kumar, unfurled the National Flag at J&K House, New Delhi. A contingent of J&K Armed Police presented the guard of honour on the occasion. The officials of J&K Government posted at New Delhi attended the event.
Saurabh Bhagat, Director General, J&K IMPARD, unfurled the national flag at IMPARD Main Campus, MA Road, Srinagar. J&K police presented guard of honour. Amit Kumar, Financial Advisor/Chief Accounts Officer, Supriya Kohli, Deputy Director (J), Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Director Trainings, Tariq Ahmad Kakroo, Deputy Director(K), various faculty members and JKAS probationers were present on the occasion.
Directorate of Information and Public Relations Jammu celebrated the Independence Day by holding a National Flag hoisting ceremony in the office lawns. Joint Director Information, Namrita Dogra, Deputy Director Information (PR), Gul Hassan Kraipak, Youth Information Officer, Imran Rashid Kataria; Information Officer, Ashu Kumari, Cultural Officer, Parul Khajuria, Field publicity Officer, Shivani Deonia and staff of DIPR were present on the occasion. A colourful cultural programme was also presented by the artists of the cultural wing of DIPR.
Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Renu Sharma, unfurled the National Flag in presence of all officers and officials of the Directorate. This was followed by singing of the National Anthem by the staff of DHS.
Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, Srinagar celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm at its office in Bemina where DHS Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather unfurled the tricolor. The functional was attended by the Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, Epidemiologist Kashmir, CMO Srinagar, all staff members of DHSK, doctors, etc.
J&K Sports Council celebrated the Independence day at Greenfield Gandinagar. Coaches, Managers, Groundsmen and others were part of the celebration. Dr Zafar Iqbal, Chief Account Officer, J&K Sports Council hoisted the National Flag amid singing of National Anthem and chanting of patriotic slogans.
Directorate of Animal Husbandry Jammu marked the Independence Day celebration by holding a flag hoisting ceremony in the presence of the senior officers and staff from the Directorate and associated offices. Flag unfurling was followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Sweets were distributed and Chinar tree saplings were also planted in the office premises.
Department of Wildlife Protection J&K held a function at Wildlife Complex Manda Jammu wherein Chief Wildlife Warden J&K, S K Gupta hoisted the National Flag. A contingent of Forest Protection Force and Wildlife field staff presented the guard of honour. Programme was attended by Dr Kumar MKIFS, Regional Wildlife Warden Jammu; Anil Kumar Atri, Wildlife Warden Jammu; Amit Sharma, Wildlife Warden Jambu Zoo; Arun Gupta, Wildlife Warden Headquarter; Parveen Kumar Dubey, Assistant Engineer Wildlife and other staff of the Wildlife Protection Department, Forest Protection Force personnel, locals and visitors.
JKAP 7th Battalion celebrated Independence Day at Battalion Headquarters, APC, Channi Himmat Jammu. The Flag was hoisted by Suneel Raj-JKPS, Commandant JKAP 7th Battalion. The best deserving officers and officials were rewarded suitably and certificates were awarded to them during the event.
Independence Day was celebrated in Central Jail Jammu Kotbhalwal wherein the National Flag was hoisted by Dinesh Sharma, Sr Superintendent. A colorful cultural program was presented by the jail inmates. They also displayed their talents in poetry, singing, dancing and cultural activities.
District Jail Ambphalla Jammu celebrated Independence Day by organizing an impressive function in the jail premises. Superintendent Jail, Saleem Ahmed hoisted the national flag.
Independence Day celebration was held at Directorate of Horticulture, Rajbagh, Srinagar. The Director General, Horticulture Kashmir Ajaz Ahmad Bhat hoisted the National Flag. Dr Hina Shafi Bhat, VC-KVIB was the guest of honour at the function. The celebration was attended by the officers/officials of the Department and a good number of orchardists and students also participated. Various cultural items were presented and patriotic songs were played.
Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Sevak, hoisted the National flag at the Horticulture complex Talab Tillo to mark the celebration of 75th Independence Day in the presence of Joint Director Horticulture, C L Sharma, Dy Director (Central), Dy Director (Planning) and other officers and officials of the department.
Forest Protection Force celebrated Independence Day in the FPF Hqs complex, Narwal Jammu wherein Ifat Ara, Joint Director FPF Jammu hoisted the national flag followed by March Past by contingent of Gamma Unit J-01 and FPF Gamma unit J-02 Sidhra Jammu. The programme was followed by the presentation of patriotic songs and cultural programme.
AIIMS, Vijaypur, Jammu celebrated the Independence Day at its camp office located at Doctors’ Guest House of Govt Medical College, Jammu, wherein Dr Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director and CEO, AIIMS Jammu, hoisted the National Flag in presence of Lt Col Prabhat Sharma, Deputy Director (Admin) and other team members of AIIMS Jammu.
An impressive program was organized at Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu wherein Director AYUSH J&K, Dr Mohan Singh hoisted national flag in presence of Assistant Director Dr Rakesh Kumar Raina, Medical Superintendent Dr Vandana Dogra, Medical Officer (AYUSH) and staff of Directorate AYUSH and Govt Ayurvedic Hospital. The flag hoisting was followed by a cultural event wherein interns and staff members of the Hospital presented patriotic songs.
Independence Day was celebrated in MCH Hospital Rajouri where on the direction of DC Rajouri Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Advocate Nitu Sharma, Administrator One Stop Centre for Women hoisted national flag in presence of Sarpanch Manjakote Samreen Khan.
At Sub-District Hospital Mendhar, BMO Dr Parvaiz Ah Khan hoisted the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day. It was followed by singing of National Anthem and distribution of sweets.
The Department of Agriculture Jammu celebrated the Independence Day at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo. The programme was organized jointly by Jammu & Kashmir Agriculture Employees Association, (Gazette/Non-Gazetted) Jammu. Director K K. Sharma hoisted the National Flag and also facilitated the officers and officials for their exemplary work. Joint Director (Marketing), A S Reen, Joint Director (Extension), Rajan Sharma, Joint Director (Farms), Rajinder Sharma, Joint Director (Apiculture & Mushroom), Iqbal Singh, CAO Jammu, Arvind Baru CAO Kathua, Vijay Upadhaya, President JKAEA, Uttam Sharma were also present.
The Independence Day was celebrated in FPF Gama Unit J-11 Reasi with unfurling of Tricolour by Anwar Aftab Shah, Dy Director FPF Reasi. The Assistant Directors Sudesh Kumar, Suresh Chand, Sham Kumar and other field personnel/ staff members of FPF J-11 Reasi also attended the function.
The occasion was celebrated in the premises of Sheep Husbandry Complex Jammu, wherein all officers/officials of the department gathered and marked their presence. The event commenced with hoisting of the National flag by the Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Krishan Lal followed by recitation of Indian National Anthem.
Flag Hoisting ceremony was held at Mechanical Engineering Department, Bikram Chowk Jammu. Independence Day celebration in the premises of the Govt Industrial Training Institute, Akhnoor Road, Jammu commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Director Skill Development, (J&K), Sudershan Kumar in the presence of Joint Director Skill Development, Jammu, F A Khan, Dy. Director SPIU / Principal Sr Scale ITI Jammu – Rajendra Kumar, Dy Director Planning Baru, Mandeep Dogra (ADT), Rajesh Banotra (Vice Principal, ITI Jammu), Vivek Sagar -Supdt. WITI Jammu, Mudassir (IOT) and Nazir Ahmed, President J&K ITI Employees United Front.
Chenab Valley Power Projects [P] Ltd (CVPPPL) celebrated the Independence Day. Arun Kumar Choudhary, Managing Director CVPPPL unfurled the National Flag at its corporate office Jammu and highlighted the progress in ongoing project besides CSR activities with primary focus on strengthening of Education and Health Care Sector.
Pakal Dul HE Project (CVPPPL), Kishtwar (J&K) celebrated Independence Day by unfurling of the National Flag by Narender Kumar, General Manager I/C HOP and singing of the National Anthem. NHPC Regional Office, Jammu celebrated Independence Day in the office premises wherein Rajan Kumar, NHPC Region Head, Jammu unfurled the National Flag. On this occasion, Rajan Kumar also inaugurated Van Mahotsav 2021 by planting saplings in the office premises. Independence Day celebrations by Dulhasti Power Station began with the unfurling of National Flag by Nirmal Singh, General Manager (Incharge) at Administrative building of Dulhasti Power Station, Kishtwar. In the function, melodious patriotic songs were presented by the employees of Dulhasti Power Station. POWERGRID Northern Region Transmission System –II celebrated Independence Day by organizing Flag hoisting ceremony and various programs at all the establishments across the region. At the Regional Headquarters, Grid Bhawan, Jammu, Tarun Bajaj, Chief General Manager (Project), NRTS –II, unfurled the national flag in presence of senior officials, employees and their families.
Independence Day was celebrated at Reserve Bank of India quarters Trikuta Nagar Jammu with great enthusiasm and patriotic favour. On the occasion, Kamal Prasad Patnaik (Regional Director RBI, J&K-Ladakh) hoisted the National Flag in the presence of A K Attri ( Rtd DIG & Senior Vice – President JKSBA ) , Tarun Uppal (President Jammu District Speed Ball Association) , Pawan Kumar (Event Secretary) & RBI staff .
The Independence Day was celebrated in the premises of the Employees Provident Fund Organization, Regional Office, Jammu. The event commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by Regional PF Commissioner, Rizwan Uddin, who felicitated officers and staff of the office for their exceptional work.
Airports Authority of India (AAI) celebrated Independence Day at Civil Airport Jammu wherein S K Garg, Airport Director Jammu hoisted the National Flag. Staff of AAI, CISF and various airlines participated in the celebrations.
On the occasion of Independence Day, Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education organized an impressive function at Jammu headquarters where Prof Veena Pandita, Chairperson, JKBoSE hoisted the Tricolor in presence of Secretary JKBoSE Manisha Sarin.
Directorate of School Education Jammu’s 15-day long celebrations culminated on the Independence Day with more than 11540 Government schools of Jammu division joining in on the final day. The events were organised under the guidance of Principal Secretary to Government B. K. Singh and keen supervision of Chief Education Officers of the respective districts with Director School Education Jammu Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma monitoring the proceedings.
To mark the occasion, an impressive function was organized by JKSRTC Divisional Headquarters, Bikram Chowk Jammu where Sudesh Gupta, General Manager (Ops/Estts) JKSRTC Jammu, hoisted the National Flag. National Anthem and patriotic songs were also played. Surinder Sharma, GM (Mech) Jammu, Naresh Shawhney, Divisional Accounts Officer Jammu, unit officers and staff were present on the occasion.
The Municipal Council Rajouri celebrated the Independence day by hoisting the Tricolour by President MC Rajouri, Mohammad Arief Jatt, at Town Hall Rajouri. Among others, Vice President MC Rajouri, Bharat Bushan Vaid; Ward Councillors including Pushpinder Gupta; Yogesh Sharma; Rabia Qureshi and Mamta Dutt and others were present on the occasion.
Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur, Ministry of Youth affairs & Sports, Govt of India celebrated Independence Day by unfurling of National Flag by District Youth Coordinator, Udhampur Khushal Gupta. It was followed by a series of events organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur in all the blocks of Udhampur where National Flag was hoisted in the presence of Sarpanch, Panch and other PRI members at the Panchayat Ghar and Schools.
