JAMMU, Aug 16: A 50-year-old man was murdered and one another received injuries in attack by unknown assailants with sharp edged weapons in Akalpur area here today.
The deceased was identified as Deepak Singh, son of Janak Singh of Gho Manhasa District Jammu, while the injured was identified as Jaswinder Singh, son of Rattan Singh of Akalpur District Jammu.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for autopsy.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Domana and hunt has been launched to nab the assailants.
Police sources said that old rivalry is assumed as reason behind the attack; however exact reason can be ascertained once the investigation completes.
