JAMMU, June 15: For examining and recommending allotment/transfer of land, the Government today ordered constitution of a committee in each district.
The committee shall examine and recommend allotment of land by taking into account overall requirements of orderly and coordinated development of the region, for final decision by the Chief Executive Officer of the concerned Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
Additional CEO, MRDA/Divisional Commissioner Jammu/Kashmir shall be chairman of the committee. Deputy Commissioner of the concerned District shall be the Member Secretary while Vice-Chairman, concerned Development Authority and Chief Town Planner, Jammu/Kashmir shall be the Members.
The Government has further ordered that the Deputy Commissioner shall be the Deputy Chief Executive officer of the respective Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
