SRINAGAR, Feb 27: Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul said that Government is committed to equitable development in all three regions of the State. He said that the Government has taken steps for setting up of new administrative Units in the remote and far flung areas of the State to provide approachable governance at the grass root level.
This was stated by the Speaker while addressing a public gathering at Noor Bagh, Srinagar today after inaugurating a Community Hall constructed by Srinagar Municipal Corporation at a cost of Rs. 20 lakh and Government Middle School building constructed by Education Department under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan scheme at a cost of Rs. 18 lakh. Mr Gul said that for the facilities of the people, a Tehsil and Niabat offices have been established in Eidgah Constituency.
Mr. Gul said that Noor Bagh Primary School would be upgraded to High School soon. He said that Rs. 2 crore would be utilized for the development of Eidgah Hospital, adding that Ultra Sound Machine and ECG and other facilities would also be kept available in the Hospital. He also announced that a Community Hall in Noor Bagh at a cost of Rs. 1.20 crore will also be constructed during the financial year.
The Speaker said that a Degree College and an Industrial Training Institute would also be set up in the area .
Mr. Gul has also announced that Rs. One lakh would be spent for filling of premises of Noor Bagh Middle School. He said the every possible step have been taken for beautification of river Jehlum.
He was accompanied by Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Dr. G.N. Qasba and other officers.
