JAMMU, Feb 2: The Government today reiterated its direction to the employees not to bring any political pressure or other kind of outside influence for transfers and postings.
A Circular issued today by the General Administration Department (GAD) said it has been observed that some Government officers and officials of different services get recommendation from different political dignitaries in an attempt to bring political or other outside influence upon superior authorities in the matters pertaining to their services.
“The recommendations mostly seek transfers and postings of the employees, which cause undue interference in function of administration and complicate cadre management, besides causing other allied problems in utilization of human resources,’’ the Circular said.
It invited attention of the Government employees towards Rule 17 of J&K Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, which stated that no Government employee will bring or attempt to bring any political or other kind of influence on the superior authority in the matters pertaining to his services.
“Non-compliance in this regard will be viewed seriously and dealt with strictly in accordance with the rules,’’ the Circular said.
