JAMMU, Sept 30: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik president of the Union reviewed the decisions taken in the meeting convened by the Social Welfare Minister Sakina Ittoo with Vice Chairman, OBC Advisory and Development Board, and Commissioner cum Secretary Social Welfare Department recently.
The Union termed the meeting was just to pass the time as nothing was done in past 22 years to settle the issue and grant 27 percent reservations to OBCs. It said if Government decides to take decisions after census report then why it has made arbitrary distribution of RBA and ALC with 20 percent and 3 percent respectively which are not covered under Article 14, 15 and 16 of Indian Constitution. It demanded area reservation should be stopped. The meeting termed down the move of census saying it was only to consume more time and befool the OBCs of the State.
