Govt allocates functions between Finance, Planning Deptts

JAMMU, May 17: In partial modification of earlier orders, Government of Jammu and Kashmir today distributed functions between the Finance Department and Planning, Development and Monitoring Department.
As per the fresh order, the cadre controlling authority of the Economic and Statistics Service has been transferred to the Planning and Monitoring Department.
However, transfers in and out of the Development Expenditure Division-I and Development Expenditure Division-II of the Finance Department shall be made in consultation with the Administrative Secretary, Finance Department, further reads the order.
Under Development Expenditure Division-I of the Finance Department, the functions include compilation and regular review of the District Plan while under Development Expenditure Division-II, UT Plan is compiled and reviewed.
Planning, Development and Monitoring Department shall take care of Economics & Statistics Division, Plan Formulation Division, Project Monitoring and Concurrent Evaluation Division and Coordination/Special Function Division.
