KATHUA, Dec 2: The residents of Govindsar held a protest demonstration near Railway Station Govindsar here against the sub standard works of underpass roads by Railways authorities.
They said the Railway underpass works were undertaken just a year earlier and the road has been damaged which indicated the substandard material was used by Railway authorities, said protester Shashi Pal.
Other protesters Kewal Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Dev Raj alleged that lakhs of rupees were spent to construct the underpass on Hatli road near Railway Station Kathua. The vehicle driver and people face inconvenience as regular accidents take place and tyres of vehicles get damaged.
They asked the Railway authorities to conduct an inquiry into the matter and immediately start repair works of damage road so that the people may not face any more inconvenience.
