Governor, First Lady interact with YFLO delegates

SRINAGAR, Oct 5:  N N Vohra, Governor, and  Usha Vohra, First Lady, interacted with a delegation of the Young FICCI Ladies Organization (YFLO), Delhi Chapter, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor observed that the boys and girls of J&K are highly talented and if they are provided enabling opportunities they can excel in all spheres of human endeavour. He said that the overall environment has been speedily looking up and this year, uptill yesterday, over 10.6 lakh tourists had visited the Kashmir valley.
In this context, he said that there is need for timely building the required capacities to satisfactorily meet the rapidly emerging requirement of tourist infrastructure. He noted that young entrepreneurs have an important role to play in this arena, to supplement the efforts of the Government to establish the required standards of hotels and restaurants, transport services, entertainment avenues, good roads and safe traffic arrangements etc.
Referring to the industrial sector, the Governor observed that there is a high potential for the growth of this sector, particularly for the production of environment friendly high value goods. He called upon the young entrepreneurs to come forward in a big way and invest in the State and become stakeholders in the rapid economic growth of J&K, observing that he foresees a very bright future for the State with increasing investments taking place on a continuing basis.
Replying to queries of the delegates, the Governor stressed the high importance for reviving and promoting ethical values and securing balanced and equitable growth.
Usha Vohra, First Lady, interacting with YFLO delegates who have diverse professional and entrepreneurial backgrounds, ranging from fashion designing to law, observed “we must pay back to the society what we owe to it.
Stressing the crucial importance of securing inclusive growth, she called upon the young entrepreneurs to also devote their attention and a portion of their earnings to help those who are not as fortunate as we are. She pointed out that this is necessary to ensure that the societal dynamics remain wholesome and harmonious.
Divya Suri Singh, chairperson YFLO, Delhi Chapter, introduced the delegates participating in the interaction with the Governor and the Lady Governor and presented them mementos on this occasion.
Meanwhile, Mr Vohra launched the free on-line counseling offered by ‘The Inner Call’, Forum for Evolution, Development and Awareness in regard to health and related issues of de-stressing for domestic violence and child abuse stress management, at a function held at Raj Bhavan here today.
Roma Wani, Chairperson, ‘The Inner Call’, briefed the Governor about the activities of this non-profit organization and said that it has been established with a view to promoting human values.
The Governor complimented Ms. Wani and lauded her initiative of establishing ‘The Inner Call’. He observed that awareness is vital to the prevention and cure of social and health related problems and, therefore, all initiatives must be encouraged to enlarge the awareness of the people at large, particularly in regard to health related problems.
