Government record and floods

Sir,
This is in response to the article titled “Information denied on pretext of floods” (Excelsior March 5th) by Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat. The author has raised a very serious issue of official record being destroyed under the garb of floods. I think Government must wake up as soon as possible and start a probe into this issue which is of very serious nature. I would appeal Chairman Accountability Commission  and State Chief Vigilance Commissioner to take cognizance of this fraud. All those public authorities must be summoned who have claimed before State Information Commission that their official record has been  damaged due to floods . Irony is that many offices which were not at all inundated also claim that their record got damaged. The ultimate sufferers of all these corrupt acts would be poor citizens of the State.  An independent agency headed by a High Court Judge must probe into this scam.
Yours etc……
