Governing body of Narayana SSH takes important decisions

KAKRYAL, Nov 30:  The 30th meeting of the governing body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, which was held here, took a number of important decisions for augmenting and upgrading the diagnostic and treatment facilities to further enhance the operational capacities of this Superspeciality Hospital to provide best possible patient care.
Chairing the meeting, Dr S S Bloeria, Member of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Chairman of the governing body, expressed satisfaction on the progress registered by the hospital so far in the various disciplines and emphasized that all requirements in view of ensuing winter season must be put in place and tested well in advance for facilitation and comfort of the patients.
The meeting also took stock of organizing of various outreach programmes, different workshops and other interactive sessions by the Hospital during the past about three months and those planned for the coming months. The meeting was informed that the Hospital is organizing a national level seminar on cardiac sciences titled ‘Heart Enclave’ at Kakryal on December 3, 2016 in which Dr Devi Shetty as well as other renowned cardiologists and cardiac surgeons from NH and various other hospitals will participate. Besides further strengthening the consultation services for the people in Sunday OPDs at Jammu and Udhampur, the governing body was informed that outreach programmes are scheduled to be held at Akhnoor, R  S  Pura, Doda and Reasi in the coming month for facilitating the people of these areas. Progressively such programmes will be planned for other areas of the State.
The meeting was further informed that the SMVDNSH is starting a certificate course of Masters in Emergency Medicine from next month. This will be a 3-year course for which 6 doctors will be selected every year.
On the suggestion of   B B Vyas, Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development, who is also Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Hospital, it was decided to convene an interactive workshop on disaster management preparedness by inviting all other major hospitals of the State in order to build greater sensitivity and stakeholding on how best to deal emergency situations.
Those who participated in the meeting, included, B B Vyas, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, CEO of SMVD Shrine Board; Dr M K Kumar, Additional CEO; and other concerned officers from the Shrine Board side. Those who took part in the Governing Body meeting on behalf of NVDSHPL/NH,  included Dr  Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman, MD and Group CEO NH and member of the Governing Body of the Hospital;  Sunil Kumar CN, CEO Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal and Zonal Head, NH; and other concerned executives.
