JAMMU, Nov 30: Two persons were killed while two others were injured in a road accident on Jamoura More in Samba district today.
According to police two persons were killed while two others were injured who were traveling in swift Dzire car bearing registration number JK08-D-0051 from Sarore to Mansar after the car was hit at Jamoura More in Mansar area of Samba district by a truck bearing number JK03E-2748. The truck was on its way from Kashmir to Pathankot in Punjab.
The deceased have been identified as Sunil Kumar, 38, son of Mohan Lal and Ajay Kumar 45, son of Gopal Dass. Both are residents of Sarore Adda.
Soon after the accident a police party from Samba Police Station reached the area and shifted the injured to District Hospital Samba for treatment while the dead bodies were also taken to DH for postmortem and completion of other formalities.
Later, the bodies were handed over to family members by Samba Police after postmortem. The Samba Police has registered a case against the truck driver under relevant Sections of the law and arrested him. The truck was also seized, police said.
The injured persons were identified as Raj Kumar, 32, son of Sham Lal and Pankaj, son of Surinder Kumar. Both residents of Sarore. They were shifted to DH Samba by police wherefrom doctors referred them to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment.
