JAMMU, Aug 6: The Jammu University Gold Medalist in various disciplines for the academic session 2006-12, have strongly resented the JU decision of awarding certificates of merit, prizes and medals only for the academic session 2012-13 at the 14th convocation, scheduled to be held on September 1.
In an appeal to the Governor and Chancellor of the University as well as Vice-Chancellor, these medalists have urged that a more rational approach should be adopted for ensuring maximum participation in this prestigious event by giving an opportunity to the meritorious students from 2006 to 2012.
The aggrieved medalist have also threatened to sit on protest during the convocation and approach court of law for seeking justice if they remain ignored by the university.
